I spent a lot of time in the months leading up to this year’s Blogher conference reading articles and tweets about what to expect during my time there. I found plenty of useful information about what to wear, how to pack and the best way to present myself. I also read a zillion vague references to all the glorious “swag” I’d encounter, but not one single photo or mention of what that swag actually included! So I went in expecting lots of mouse pads and keychains….boy was I in for a shock!
I’m not sure if there’s some unspoken rule about showing your swag that I’m about to break, but I don’t care! You wanna know what I got? Here it is…(and, if you’re very nice and read through to the end, you can enter to win some of the swag you see here!)
I discovered that I was most drawn to functional swag! I was super glad to have received this oral care set, as my husband ran out of toothpaste the very night I came home!
Most of the stuff I received was actually stuff for my kiddo…and if I was smarter I would have hidden it all away and used it as birthday and Christmas gifts! Instead I came home and let her dive into it all! Her favorites came from the shows/characters she loves right now- Sesame Street and the shows on Sprout!
There were a few movies, lots of crayons and coloring books, some cartoon bandaids and other various toys. She was very delighted to receive an Angry Birds plush, which I received from one of my favorite bloggy friends Dagmar.
(I couldn’t resist a shot of my little lady in this huge manly apron!) I was incredibly blessed to return home with some of our most favorite homeopathic products from a company called Boiron. We’ve been using their products for several years and I can’t say enough about how incredibly effective they are, and what a difference they’ve made for our family. I loved getting to talk with their representative to share a few stories about how they’ve helped us!
Lots of useful stuff (and some very impressive peeks into new products) from the Post-it people- just in time for a new school year. I also had the opportunity to stand on this fancy machine that tells you all sorts of details about your feet and how you walk. The lovely people at Dr. Scholls sent me home with what can only be described as a pair of clouds for my shoes.
*not pictured: the most wonderful tempurpedic pillow that I somehow lost in my hotel room. I’m still so bummed about that!
Now, it can’t exactly count as swag, and I promise I’m not trying to brag (oh dear, the rhyming) but I also won a drawing and came home with this:
I’m still in absolute shock! I’ve wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer since I was 12…it’s incredible!
**Just to be clear, none of this is paid or sponsored or even done as a favor to any person or company…I just sincerely wanted to share what conference swag is like!

Wow! Great stuff! The daughter scored big. The poor husband…just an apron and toothpaste?? But YOU! You won the jackpot with the mixer. I sure love mine. I got it on a once-in-a-lifetime-Target-trip about 5-6 years ago. Someone marked the last one on the shelf down from $299 to $99. Not even the box was ripped! But you blew that deal out of the water. Family can expect lots of goodies now, I’m sure. Hope you had a completely wonderful trip!!
you are so awesome!!! I wish I could so half the stuff you do! Congrats again on everything!!! I <3 U!!!!

What Mollie said.
I just stumbled upon this website from stumbleupon.com and think it’s amazing. I was looking at some of the tings to do and am very pleased with the cost of the projects. I don’t usually get to do crafts with my family because I became in a daze at the costs of the first crafts I tried to attempt, thanks for making stuff that even a college student can afford to do!
Looks like you had a great time! Love the site!
