I’ve been on an intense journey to change my eating habits and lose weight for a little over a year now. It’s been very hard and very rewarding and I’m a world away from where I was when I started. Now that I’ve got a really solid grasp on these new habits and priorities, I’m trying to bring my family on board in choosing nutritious foods more often than not. This has proven to be just as hard (if not slightly more difficult) as making those changes myself!
The path of nutrition is paved primarily in vegetables and lean proteins…and acceptable desserts are hard to find! I discovered an amazing blog called Chocolate Covered Katie that I have fallen head over heels in love with! Katie creates incredible, luscious, decadent desserts that are made from nutritious, whole foods. The kind of desserts that don’t bring guilt along with them, but sure don’t taste like diet food!
Katie’s chocolate chip cookie dough dip is the perfect example of her healthy dessert prowess! You won’t believe what’s in this dip, and your family will gobble it down before you can even spill the beans about the ingredients!
