Last night over dinner I attempted to explain new year’s resolutions to my 5 year old. It proved to be a bit trickier than I’d anticipated, but by the end we were talking about what things she’d like to learn and do and improve in 2013. Her list included things like “Beating daddy at Chutes and Ladders. He ALWAYS wins!!”, “Getting better at going to sleep.” (Don’t even get me started…) and “Telling people things they’re supposed to do if they’re not doing the right thing at school.” (I’m not quite sure what to make of that last one.) Today I started looking around for an activity she could do to further develop these ideas and I came across this FREE printable flip book from Classroom Freebies Too. It includes pages to help kids set goals that are realistic and attainable, and illustrate their goals. This is a fun way to get your kiddos thinking about the year ahead!
