Quick Gift: Coconut Lavender Sugar Scrub

 It was 1am Thanksgiving Day when I realized I didn’t have a hostess gift to give for dinner that night. So I panicked. Then I had an idea. Then I searched around the house to see if I could make the idea a reality. And then I threw this coconut lavender scrub together and went to bed a happy girl.

You can do this too! If only for yourself…it smells DIVINE and will leave your skin silky smooth and impressively moisturized. Add a strip of scrapbook paper, a bit of twine and a sprig of lavender (or rosemary) from your herb garden and you’ve got a fancy looking gift any lady would love.

 Supplies:

• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup coconut oil, melted
• 20-30 drops lavender essential oil
• 1/4 cup dried lavender (use lavender tea bags if you don’t have dried lavender)
• glass jar/container (this is a perfect mason jar gift, or find a unique glass container at the thrift store!)

 Mix all ingredients together and spoon into jar/container. Swap out lavender oil for another essential oil that you love, the recipe stays the same! Add a strip of scrapbook paper, some ribbon or bakers twine and a little tag or sprig of lavender or rosemary. This makes a great hostess gift or Christmas gift!
