In my neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, wearing colorful tights is practically part of the everyday uniform for everyone. Maybe it's because our days are so gray and rainy — we like to bring color into the environment in different ways! For the past several years, I've been collecting various bright colors of tights to help add fun to my mom uniform.
Many people wear jeans, but I feel way more comfortable in a dress and tights or leggings. With a dress and tights, I can look slightly more put together than I feel as a mom of three busy boys!
Here's a typical Heather outfit. I call it Boho Nerd Lumberjack.
I actually own a few of the things in this picture!
Now just imagine the outfit with black or nude legs. Just not as much fun! I love the red tights! But if red isn't your thing, how about incorporating this season's hot hues? Coral, citrus green, emerald, or peacock blue are all fun choices.
I have been known to pay $15 for a pair of tights, but I recently learned that No nonsense has a lot of bright and fun new colors of tights, and they only cost about $6.50. AND get this, No nonsense tights and leggings can be easily found at food and drug stores as well as mass retail stores. In my local area, I can even buy them at Safeway (our local grocery store)!
I tried a pair of No nonsense tights on, and they were as high-quality as the more expensive tights I have purchased. They also come with other features, such as control tops (anyone who is a mom knows why that is important!)
