Kids Craft: Bee Condo (Save the Bees!)

Kids Craft: Make a Bee Condo - how kids can help save our honeybee populations!

Declining honeybee populations are a real concern — bees help pollinate a huge percentage of our foods, so without them, we’d “bee” lost. Help teach kids about honeybees with my post and tutorial on how to make a bee condo, over at the Kix Cereal Creativity Lab. [how to make a bee condo]

I have to admit, I have an irrational fear of bees, but after researching this article, and the problem with disappearing bees, I am overcoming my fear and growing to appreciate the little buzzers!

Project Supplies:

  • Brown heavy cardstock paper or a recycled cereal box
  • Cardboard tubes (from paper towel rolls)
  • Paper straws (not plastic)
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue and glue gun (parents only)
  • Hole punch and string
